Self Love

Self Love is not a selfish mantra that gives the excuse to self indulge, self destruct, or neglect others. As believers, the infinite loving God has given us His eternal love and made us a part of His body. To love self rightly, we must first see God as the source of Love and to see ourselves as a part of a much larger body. We are not our own but belong to God and the body of Christ. Self love cares for the needs of others as though it were our own body, this is what it means to love our neighbor as ourselves. We steward our life and the lives God created in His image with love, because Christ first loved us.
